We keep KIAMXNE Stainless Steel Extendable Shower Curtain Rod Tension on our bathroom shelf alongside 45 others, and rank it on rating, review volume and live price rather than on the brand. The manufacturer puts it this way: Made of stainless steel, strong and reliable. Not just for windows or bathrooms, our retractable shower curtain rod is a versatile tool that can be used to divide narrow spaces, such as wardrobes, and under bookshelves. That is the maker talking, not us, so read it as a claim rather than a finding. Buyers have it at 4.3 out of 5 from 2,358 ratings. We work out below what that is worth against everything else on the shelf.
The typical bathroom product on our shelf scores 4.4 out of 5, measured across 46 rated products. This one comes in at 4.3. That lands in the bottom quarter. Nothing alarming on its own, though at this money you can find better-rated neighbours, so there should be a particular reason for choosing it.
That score rests on 2,358 ratings. The median for this shelf is 6,588. That's a thin base for this shelf. A score from a small number of buyers can move a long way on a handful of new reviews, so treat it as a first impression rather than a settled verdict.
