From the seller's own listing: The soluble pouches harmlessly dissolve, releasing gentle active ingredients, to clean your pond, clears blanketweed, eats pond sludge, feeds aquatic plants, reduces filter cleaning. The pods work within the pond ecosystem, most effective when used over a consistent period of time and are not an overnight solution. How it compares on the fish & aquatic shelf

The typical fish & aquatic product on our shelf scores 4.6 out of 5, measured across 50 rated products. This one comes in at 4.1. That lands in the bottom quarter. Nothing alarming on its own, though at this money you can find better-rated neighbours, so there should be a particular reason for choosing it.

That score rests on 5,269 ratings. The median for this shelf is 3,120. That's enough for the score to mean something without being the last word on it.

On money, this sits in the top third of a shelf running from £2.11 to £29.98, with the midpoint around £9.76. Paying above the middle of the shelf needs a reason the star rating does not supply, because on ratings alone the extra money is not buying an advantage here.
